First time in Australia......

YUP! My very FIRST interview in Australia!!!!!!!!!
Yea, i went for an interview today!
This casual job was introduced by shir li so i applied...i think i applied last week gua. Anyway, the position is childcare casual worker.
The lady called me on Monday and asked me go for an interview today at 2pm!
OK Fine!
Today was really really 'wet' day! been raining since yesterday night and NON STOP!
Fine!
I still need to go for interview!
I stepped on the 'wet' road which made my shoes and jeans wet!
And this freaking cold day...I was shivering on the way to the school (it is just next street to my house)!
Ok,I got there finally!
There was an auntie inside being interviewed so i need to wait!
They told auntie to wait til next Wednesday for the confirmation and well, auntie gone.
Now, my turn!
The interviewers (one asking Q and the other jotting down whatever I said gua) are good enough to serve me water!
This was such a long long interview!
I never had this kind of interview b4!
Like in Malaysia, i was asked to do some maths and eng Q and few simple Qs about why you want to be teacher...
Today interview was the first really formal interview!
I'd been asked for 12 Qs if I'm not mistaken! All were tricky Qs!
They asked me basic Qs 1st la, like what you do during your free time la.
Can't really remember ler...too many Qs!
The tricky 1 was like what will you do if you see 2 children are fighting?
What attributes do you think a teacher need to have?
What will you do if the parents complain about the centre to you?
What will you do if you find this job may not suitable for you after you have been working a while?
What will you do if you feel really stress doing this job?
What do you think a lesson for children will be?
Do you use resources to make lessons fun? What are the resources?
AND SO ON..........
Many ba?
This is really depends on your instant performance ler!
Anyway, I tried my best!
Let's wait until next Wednesday!
See if I get the position!
Haha!

This is my "painstaking effort"!

I'd finally finished the collection assignment's set up!
I decided to do something related to the natural environment which i focused on the natural habitat.
Hmm... actually i'm not that happy with the photos cuz i think the real 1 is much more attractive and nice!
This is not too bad though!
Let's have an excursion to the natural habitats!

This is the front view of my set up. All are hand-made and natural things o! Can you see what made the river? Is egg cartons painted in blue! And the hanging bridge...This 1 really cost alot of my time!!!!!!!!! I spent 1 hour to really made the bridge....tie la, made knots la etc

Using magnifying glass to explore the wildlife animals and insects!

This is the top view! CAn you see how complicated is the bridge's structure? Not easy o!

Real story...(sad)

Yesterday we were given a documentary to watch in the tut class...
Is really a sad 1... was really an emotional tut class...
'LOSING LAYLA'......
It was about a lady (Vanessa) who is in her late thirties (38 if i'm not mistaken) wanting a baby so much while her partner strongly did not want any kids...
Anyway, she got pregnant!
She filmed the whole process of wanting a baby to pregnant and until the naissance of her baby- Layla...
She was so happy and her partner was being supportive during her pregnancy period...
Everything seemed to be fine and full of happiness...
Nobody expected that this had became a sign of sadness...

Vanessa had stomach pain this day... seemed like going to labour...
Her partner sent her to the hospital with their pyjamas still on.
She had the pain for 19hours but the baby still not born yet... so she had to undergo the Caesarian to take the baby out from the womb (i wonder why the hospital did the Caesarian for her after so many hours of pain)...
The baby (Layla) finally born!
However...Layla died 8 hours later due to lung dysfunction (she had a puncture in her lung)...
Layla's dad held her in his hand until her last breath...This was really the saddest part when Layla's dad said he did not love her much in the womb, she died because she was lack of love...
Layla's body was brought back to Vanessa; she was totally breakdown... she din't even had the chance to bid farewell to her baby...

They brought Layla home and even kept her for 5 days before cremating her...
They treated her as she was still alive...bathed her...changed for her...
I was so shocked as in "her body would have smell" after so many days.... It did not smell due to certain reason and her body was kept in the fridge while at home...
It was still pain for her even after 7 months of Layla's death and she couldn't move on from her grief...
She wanted to have a happy ending so badly but unfortunately her partner and her separated 1 month later...

It was really emotional, some did cried... me, too couldn't hold the sadness...
I was thinking this is really unfair to Vanessa as she wanted to have a baby so badly...
Yet, she didn't have the chance to love her and even hold her...

1 litre of tears?

1 litre of tears… or maybe I should say more than 1 litre of tears…
It’s been long since I watched the Japanese drama- 1 litre of tears; watched again and again…

I think I’ve watched more than 7 times ler…
Still… wept every time watching it… maybe I’m just too “crybaby”…
People who watched this drama should know this is actually a real story….
I’ve never thought there is someone like Aya-chan, lives strongly…and never thought of giving up of her life…
If I got this kind of illness or some other incurable disease, I rather die…I mean it…

Don’t wanna live dependent of others… don’t wanna be a burden to family or to anyone else…
If I was the one got this kind of illness, I don’t think I can be that strong…
Even if she was sick, she still thought of helping others…
Inequity always exists in this world…good people do not always have good returns… baddies; on the contrary do not always get the retribution…
And really sarcastic that those dying people wanna keep living, some healthy people wanna end their lives… really don’t understand why?????

Sometimes ler, watch drama or movie can also gain something der…sees what I’ve realized…
People… sometimes, don’t be so despair… maybe what u see from this angle isn’t that good; why don’t try to see from another angle? Maybe u will find this much more better, not that disappointing… Isn’t it a good thing?

Seems like going to rain... I mean myself...

I'm a lil' moody today...I wonder why...
Just called home, felt like crying...
Felt alone... maybe just because of the "empty house" i'm facing to...nobody at home...
Cold and cloudy day...just fit my feeling...
Haiz...really wish that someone is beside me, comforting me...
Homesick again...
Just when can I get rid of this stupid "illness"...
I have been alone for so many years ler wo...
Maybe I'm just too dependent of family and friends....
Feels like crying now... can I?
Just a few minutes....
I'll be ok...
I know I will....

So much FUN!!!!!!!!!!!

Just had ECH215 class today. This unit is basically about young children with science, maths and technology. Thought of this unit might be quite boring.....

First lecture was talking about maths. It was really fun! I never knew that lollies and sticks can transform into...

Amazing, isn't it? We were told to use the things in the plastic which is provided (the lollies and sticks) to make a 3D structure (related to geometry, shape and space i think). Everyone had different numbers of lollies and sticks. I got the plastics with 4 lollies and 6 sticks, that's what i got! Some people got prism and cube. So interesting! This is the method to make the maths class interesting!

Second lecture was about science. We were given a packet of thing as well. Was actually a crushed pink sweets then added with 3 other types of salts and sweets. We were asked to taste it, see if it will be "yummy" or "yucks"! Most of us said "yucks" before tasted it. Guess what? I thought it will be salty and yucky but the taste was nice! Sweet and a lil' bit of salty but was really great taste! I didn't get to take the photo...can't get to show it here....

Anyway...

This unit seems fun and interesting! We will have different experiment in every weeks, haha! Re-contact with science and maths....In more interesting way!
